Where do I start? What a wedding! I’ve known Jesse and Michelle for a few years and have worked with them through their event company, Sync’d. Simply the most spectacular, dynamic and exciting event company I’ve worked with and indeed some of the most outstanding commercial events I’ve been asked to photograph. So of course being asked to document their beautiful wedding day was an absolute privilege! Jesse was a Springbok gymnast and Michelle a Latin American and Freestyle dancer, that first dance of theirs will take a lot of beating!

It was without a doubt one of the most relaxed, joyous and superb celebrations of love, friendship and family I’ve ever been to and I think it shows in this small selection of images. Their wedding ceremony and reception took place at a new venue in Hazyview called The Watershed. The location was striking and the weather, perfect!

They loved my documentary style of storytelling and in fact the only images we set up were during a quick, half an hour portrait shoot. The rest of the laughter, tears and everything else you see in these images here was shot candidly, naturally and without disruption.
