I’ve never been one to enter photographic contests but decided to have a go recently and was pleasantly surprised by a silver award from the WPE for Wedding Photojournalism. After that first award I decided to have another go and guess what, got another silver award!

This image of the groom is one that makes me smile. So often we focus on the brides face, yet here it’s the groom’s exuberance at the confetti floating down that makes the image.

I’m always looking for authentic, sincere moments of joy to document, and am very proud to have my work recognised like this.
