Documentary Wedding – Gareth and Fran

After the wedding drought that was 2020 it was such a pleasure to get out and make photographs again, and what an awesome start to the year it was!

Like so many couples Fran and Gareth had to endure the stress and frustration of postponing their wedding again and again as the lockdown rules and restrictions in South Africa rode their rollercoaster back and forth, and inside out.

When the time came it was just the most perfect, hot, sunny day. The boys found that the kilts provided a welcome breeze to help cope with the heat, and had the broadest grins to prove it, there was even a pipe band on hand to set the mood!

Sweet Home Weddings had the most beautiful and truly unique setup. Sugarcane fields set aside a gorgeous dam and venue. Their staff too were friendly, accommodating and very helpful on the day.

What was so wonderful about this wedding, and always my favourite part, were the guests. The friends and family and their relaxed yet outgoing vibe just made the day’s story a heartfelt one to document. I could go on but you know, I feel that these images tell the story so much better.

Thank you Fran and Gareth for choosing me to document your day!

  1. It is a very intimate occasion to have a stranger photograph you on your Wedding day, however with Tim, we could not have been more comfortable. He was an absolute pleasure to have join us. He wasn’t just “the photographer”, he was Tim. He fitted in perfectly with our friends and family and was missed when not around. We were so impressed with how professional, creative and original he was. The photos that he produced, equisitely captured those unique moments of our amazing day. Thank you Tim! We are forever grateful! Love Gareth & Fran!
